About Axiom

An examiner that remembers what you forget

Skills don’t fail on test day — they fade in the quiet weeks before it. Axiom started from one stubborn idea: the tool that prepares you should remember what’s slipping and pull it back, the way a great examiner-tutor would if they never forgot a single one of your mistakes.

Why we built it

Most IELTS apps measure the wrong thing. They count streaks and hand out badges, but they don’t track the skill underneath — so you can practise every day and still lose ground on the papers a human has to judge. Vocabulary you drilled in March is gone by June. The essay habit you fixed reappears under exam pressure. Nothing was watching the decay.

We wanted the opposite: a system that knows which of your skills are fading, when you’ll lose them, and what to do this week to stop it. Not a chatbot you ask questions to — an examiner that scores you, remembers the pattern behind every mistake, and schedules the fix for the moment before you’d forget.

What actually makes it different

The core is Reyes v2, a Speaking and Writing examiner built around the official IELTS band descriptors. It scores every answer on the same criteria a real examiner uses — where a general-purpose chatbot, never tuned to the IELTS rubric, typically drifts by a full band or more. That gap is the whole point: a prediction you can’t trust is worse than none, because you’ll train toward the wrong number.

Around it sits a memory system, not a quiz bank. The Decay Engine watches each skill between sessions. FSRS schedules reviews to land right before a skill slips. Mistake Autopsy dissects every error into cause, pattern and fix, so the same mistake stops coming back. Together they close the loop that ordinary practice leaves open.

How we think about honesty

This site has no invented testimonials, no borrowed star ratings and no made-up user counts. When we have real reviews, we’ll show them — and not a day before. The pricing is one flat global price, the same for everyone, with no promo codes, no region-gating and no hidden fees. We don’t sell your data or show ads; your practice answers stay yours.

Axiom is independent and unaffiliated. IELTS™ is a trademark of its owners; we are not endorsed by or connected to IDP, the British Council or Cambridge. We help you prepare for the exam — we don’t administer it.

Who’s behind it

A small independent team, building carefully rather than loudly. We won’t stage stock photos of a team we don’t have or dress the company up as bigger than it is. What we can promise is that the people who make Axiom read every message that comes in — support and feedback alike — and answer within a day, in English and Russian.

What we hold to

Honest by default

No fake reviews, no invented stats, no dark patterns. If we can’t verify it, we don’t claim it.

One fair price

The same low global price for everyone — no promo games, no regional markups, no upsell paywalls.

Built for the exam, not chat

Scored against the official IELTS band descriptors — not a generic model guessing.

Your data isn’t the product

We collect the minimum, never sell it, and delete it on request. No ads, ever.

Train it — don’t just read about it

Axiom scores every Speaking and Writing answer on the four official descriptors and predicts your band. Start the 7-day PRO trial, or try something free first.
